Sarah is Kate’s older sister and Maid of Honor. Her and Kate, although three years apart, easily became good friends as they grew up. Sarah showed Kate the ropes at her high school and showed Kate how she could accomplish anything she worked hard at and set her mind to. Today, Sarah lives 1900 miles away with her husband, Tommy, in Aspen, CO but she still stays in touch and still inspires Kate to settle for nothing, especially when it comes to following her dreams.
Lexi is Kate’s cousin and friend on her mother’s side. Lexi is outgoing, funny, and easily one of Kate’s good friends. When both were working in NYC they were roommates in Midtown. Lexi is a career-oriented go-getter, family girl, and an avid Texas Longhorns and NY Rangers fan. With a cheerful “Hook Em!” greeting or LGR chant, you’ll instantly become good friends!
Kimi is Kate’s cousin on her father’s side. Kimi resides in Long Island where she works as a lawyer with her husband, Matt, and their two adorable kids, Finn and Rosie. Kimi is a cheerful spirit with a fun-loving personality. From Harkins’ Christmas parties to Harkins’ weddings, Kimi always brings the laughter and joy wherever she goes. Her son Finn is also the ring bearer for the ceremony. Her daughter Rose, is Kate’s goddaughter.
Kelly is Kate’s cousin on her father’s side. Kelly brings a caring, thoughtful, and fun-loving spirit to the bride tribe. Kelly’s genuineness is unmatched and you can just imagine how great of a role model she is to her students at school. Kelly and Kate frequent Harkins gatherings whether its the annual summer beach house or the Harkins Christmas party, you can count on Kate and Kelly! They bond over Harkins humor, celebrating people’s milestones, and just good-natured fun! Kelly is a family-oriented, career-driven friend who is reliable, friendly, and overall just a genuinely sweet person.
Jessie is Kate’s cousin and good friend on her mother’s side. Jessie resides in Charlotte, NC after moving south for undergrad where she now lives with her husband, Will, and her adorable daughter Lily. For several years growing up, Jessie and her family (the Hoffmans) lived in New Jersey where her family would host Thanksgiving and other holidays. Kate and Jessie enjoyed arts and crafts growing up, baking, and making mix tapes on CDs (the good ole’ CD days lol). Jessie’s sister, Kelsey, is also a part of the bridal party!
Kelsey is Kate’s cousin on her mother’s side. Kelsey resides in Philadelphia, PA, just a mere 45 minutes from Kate and Mike, (which is ah-mazing!) where she works as a Marketing Manager for an Architecture firm. Kelsey and Kate became friends through family gatherings, but became even more friends when Kelsey moved to Philadelphia. Over the years, they plan catch ups at Tria Rittenhouse, Barnes and Noble, or just anywhere in Philly! Kelsey holds a passion for a good read, traveling the globe, and creative photography! She graciously volunteered to capture the special, memorable moments of Kate and Mike’s Engagement through her personal professional camera lens – some of which are featured on this site! Kelsey’s sister, Jessie, is also a bridesmaid!
Roger, Michael’s father, is the man who taught Michael everything about cars, problem-solving, and how to laugh through life’s challenges. From restoring Mustangs to sharing a quick-witted joke, Roger’s always been there with guidance and humor. Not only is Roger a loving father, but he and his wife, Kristin, have built almost forty years of a strong, happy marriage, something Michael’s always admired and looked up to. It’s a true honor to have Roger as Michael’s best man, guiding Michael not only as a father but as a lifelong role model.
Kevin and Michael go way back to high school, where they first crossed paths during cello practice and quickly discovered their mutual passion for cars. Their friendship grew even stronger after a class trip to Monaco, where they got to check out some of the world’s rarest automobiles. Over the years, Kevin and Michael have kept in touch at car shows, birthday celebrations, and countless other good times. Whether it’s chatting about the latest car trends or just sharing a laugh, Kevin has always been a great friend to Michael. Now engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Vicki, Kevin’s prepping for his own wedding. Michael is incredibly honored to have him stand by his side as a groomsman on this special day.
Rich and Michael have been friends for over 12 years, sharing countless memories, laughs, and a mutual love for good music. Rich is the music director at St. Denis Church, located in Havertown, PA, where Michael often plays cello at weekend Mass. A gifted musician, Rich plays piano, guitar, and sings -- sometimes in the same service -- while his wife lends her beautiful voice to the liturgy. Together, they’ve built a loving home with their three sweet children -- Nicholas, Gabriel, and Francesca. Michael is honored to have Rich by his side as a groomsman on such a meaningful day.
Tommy is Michael's future brother-in-law. Tommy is married to Sarah, Kate's sister, and currently lives in Aspen, Colorado, raising their mini Australian Shepherd dog, Izzy. Although him and Sarah are based out West, Tommy visits his home, Lewisburg, PA every now and then. In those visits, him and Michael get to chill over beers and grub. Having both lived in the city at points in their lives, they’ve both experienced Philadelphia to its fullest, from iconic cheesesteaks to hidden culinary gems. As they look forward to becoming official brothers-in-law, Michael knows there are more good times ahead. Having Tommy by his side as a groomsman on this special day means a lot, and he’s truly humbled to have him there.
Brandon, a talented violist, and Michael's friendship began at Binghamton Orchestra, where both play classical music and work together. As accomplished string musicians, they deliver professional performances and a mutual respect for the art of orchestral music. Currently residing in New York City with his two cats, Brandon continues to be a valued friend and colleague to Michael. Michael is honored to have Brandon stand by his side as a groomsman on this special occasion.
David Brown is a classically trained, professional violinist who currently is the music director at Main Line Unitarian Church, in Devin, PA. Michael and David's paths crossed while playing together at St. Denis Church. David is married to his wife, Kaitlyn, a gifted vocalist whose talents complement David’s own musical expertise. Throughout Michael and David's time working together at church rehearsals, David and Michael have shared countless laughs and moments of camaraderie. Michael is honored to have David by his side as a groomsman on his wedding day.
Pamela and John are both originally from Long Island, a few towns apart. They first met attending a racquetball course at Binghamton University. Their senior year at Binghamton John finally worked up the nerves to ask Pam her number, and the rest was history. They both share an abundance of love for their two children, a passion for traveling, and a zest for meeting new people and making friends.
Roger and Kristin go way back—they met in high school, long before their son Michael walked the same halls years later. These two are the heart and soul of the family, always showing up with love, support, and maybe a fresh batch of something delicious from the kitchen. When they’re not hanging with their golden labs, Willow and Leo, you’ll find them outdoors, catching up with life-long friends, or trying out a new recipe just for fun.
Finn brings the life to the party! He is an energetic little boy who knows how to get everyone smiling. His parents are Kimi (a bridesmaid) and Matt Loescher.
Addie is daughter to Natalia and Michael Harkins (Kate’s cousins). Addie has an efficacious smile and brings joy to every room. She’s a girly girl at heart and also knows all the words to the bluey’s theme song.
